Map: NZ's best camping grounds
Our interactive map (below) features New Zealand's best camping spots, as chosen by our readers. Scott Marris added his favourite - Quinny's Bush.
I absolutely loved staying at Quinney's Bush as a child and now find it even more better as an adult with my own child.
There is so much to do here - river slide, rope swing, water slide, flying foxes, BMX track, go-karts, motorbike track, swings, skateboard park and confidence course. And that's just for starters,
You can also enjoy the open firepits, barbecues, gazebos, kitchen with oven, fridge and freezers, and laundry with washing machines and driers.
At the right time you can enjoy a lovely hot shower in the ablution blocks, or relax in the sunshine or plentiful shade from numerous native trees.
Keep your eye out for some of the native birds that frequent Quinney's Bush too.
The shop has a few basics you may need while camping. They even stock ice to keep your beer or steak chilled.
A fantastic destination less than 45 minutes from Nelson.
