Best food carts: La Roulotte
Map: NZ's best food carts
Professional chef Syd Ratcliffe and his partner Virginie have successfully blended Kiwi hospitality with truly superb French cuisine in their classic gem dubbed: "La Roulotte."
It all started for these guys with a bright red and white retro Starliner, built in Christchurch in 1960. It took them six weeks to rennovate it and they began selling on Christmas Day 2013.
Since then they've been turning out fantastic gourmet French crepes, sockjuice, coffee, tea and homemade sodas.
You'd think the fresh made-to-order meals would set you back an arm-and-a-leg, but the prices are refreshingly very, very reasonable.
This a definite-do-not-miss breakfast, lunch or late afternoon stop in Te Anau.
