Album I can't live without: Dirt
The album I couldn't live without
Dirt by Alice in Chains is an incredible album. Words don't do justice for this album, every song is unbelievably good, and nearly all are single material.
The album cover is awesome as well and you could say it pays homage to what is dealt with on the album - relentless drug abuse, depression and melancholy.
I first heard it in 2010 and my jaw dropped at the intensity of the singer's voice (Layne Staley, RIP), you can actually hear the pain in his voice. The music supplements the morbid despair Staley's lyrics deliver. Honestly, I would rate this album the greatest album ever made.
I love the song 'Junkhead', you cannot help but sing along to that one!
And the last two, 'Angry Chair', which is the darkest on the album and of course the anthem, 'Would?'
I give it a 10/10.
