The flats nightmares are made of

Surprised I survived scarfie flat Worst flat: four girls, one bathroom The worst flats in New Zealand Mould growing on our mattresses The leaning flat of Auckland Welcome to London's high life Never mind the indoor weather 'So wet we couldn't wear socks inside' Home sweet nightmare home Ah, the pitter-patter of little rodent feet

What's the worst flat you've ever lived in? Stuff readers have been sharing their home nightmares with us.

Blair Kibblewhite found himself in the leaning flat of Auckland.

One flat I moved in to was adjacent to the North Western motorway in Eden Terrace.

It was so run down that when you walked down the hallway, you bumped the wall because it leaned to the right.

If you placed a ball in any room and it rolled very quickly to the right hand side.

When you looked down the right side of the house from the outside, the whole side of the house bowed outwards.

The doors closed by themselves and the back door had an extra bit of timber nailed to it to cover up the huge gap at the top because of the lean.

I remember being woken up one cold morning with condensation dripping on the face from the roof.

I left some shirts on the floor to go in the washing at the end of the week and found they had mould growing over them from the damp floor.

It was cold as hell in the winter and cool in the summer.

We had some really good parties in the house but it wasn't enough to keep me there for long.
