Weather photos of the week: One fine day in Wanaka
Weather photo of the week
I was lucky enough to be down in Wanaka for work in March, and decided to make the most of the sunshine on my day off.
My friend and I spent a couple of hours at the top of Roy's Peak taking in the stunning view across Lake Wanaka and the surrounding peaks.
In the first photo I'm enjoying a well-deserved cold drink after the long hike.
The second image is of my best friend Frances taking a photo of the view.
Both myself and Frances have traveled extensively throughout the world and agree that Roy's peak is the most stunning view we have ever seen. The photos are beautiful, but they don't really do the magnificent view justice.
I took the last photo on the shoreline of Lake Hawea near Wanaka.
After a long day hiking up to Roy's Peak I decided to chill out by the lake and take some photos of the Milky Way.
I especially like this photo because after showing some of my overseas friends, it reminds me how lucky we are to live in a country where we can see the stars so clearly.
