Our readers have been sharing their picks for a World XI for tests. Here's Avish Gangwani's picks.

1. Graeme Smith, South Africa: Excellent group player.

2. Cheteshwar Pujara, India: Incredible talent, not just performing on the roads in India but his overseas performances are also top notch.

3. Virat Kohli, India: I would select him in all the three teams and would be my captain as well with all his aggressiveness.

4. Hashim Amla, South Africa: How do you stop this guy from making runs?

5. Kumar Sangakkara, Sri Lanka (wk): Elegant and a perfect team player.

6. AB de Villiers, South Africa (backup wk): All rounder - can and does do everything. An excellent player.

7. Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh: He is one of the best allrounders but never really gets a chance to be included in the top list of players.

8. Mitchell Johnson, Australia: Always been one of the best bowlers, back again after a very strong showing in the Ashes.

9. Vernon Philander, South Africa: Can bat a bit as well, would be excellent as a new ball partner with either Steyn or Johnson.

10. Dale Steyn, South Africa: The best fast bowler at the moment, should be included in all the teams not just the test teams. Best fast bowler after Glenn McGrath.

11. Saeed Ajmal, Pakistan: Ask him to bowl doosras, teesras, anything. Best spin bowler at the moment.
