We're looking for New Zealand's most inspiring teachers. Lee Belk wants to thank Mr Rowe for the year that changed his thinking.

Mr Brent Rowe was my Year 8 teacher at Royal Oak Intermediate in 2003. He was an amazing and pragmatic teacher.

I am now a junior lawyer and give props to his innovative teaching methods.

His teaching style was very practical and I believe he taught me how to think critically at a young age, which I could then develop on in later years far better than my peers.

We had one exercise book for English and the rest of our work was done using models, speech, outdoor work, construction, etc.

I will never forget how much my thinking changed that year.

Thanks Mr Rowe!
