Helping kids eat healthy: Get sneaky
Tips for helping kids eat healthy
One of my children would only eat carbs - no fruit, meat or veges. But she loved pasta, so I used that to encourage her to eat lean mince and mashed (to start with very finely) vegetables stirred through it and very slowly mashed the vegetables less and less.
The pasta was tomato-based so she also got that.
I also froze fresh fruit juice in to ice blocks over the summer months or mixed it in to ice cream, which she loved.
She is now a healthy 33-year-old and we all joke she is the "food police" as she watches what the family eats to ensure it is healthy.
