Tips to help kids eat healthy: Offer veges often
Tips for helping kids eat healthy
If your child isn't eating a good range of vegetables they are missing out on great health benefits, so how can you get them eating?
Most parents face some food fussiness at some stage but we are approaching the problem in the wrong way.
Children are offered veges as part of dinner when they are tired and may not be particularly hungry, perhaps due to mopping up another child's chips at kindergarten.
Give them vegetables for breakfast, then morning tea, then lunch. They will eat. If it's difficult to prepare veges in the morning, just leave some over from the adult's dinner.
Use a wide range of vegetables, cooking methods and presentation and they'll soon have favourites!
If there are other options provided you will fail, but faced with only colourful and tasty veges when they're really hungry, you know what will happen.
