THE Chinese say 2010 is the Year of the Tiger but here at Sunday News we say it's the year of the micro-pig.

That's right: micro-pig. The pint-sized porkers cost up to $700 each but they are winning over celeb-land with their cute snuffy noses and their teeny-tiny trotters... seriously, these swine are super-cute.

David Beckham better think so: he is apparently getting a pair of them for Christmas from his wife Victoria. Although Victoria usually leads the celebrity fads, this time she's slightly behind the eight-ball.

Singer Charlotte Church has already got a pair of micro-pigs, while Harry Potter star Rupert Grant has bought a pair in ginger and black for his sister.

Paris Hilton is on the bandwagon, too. The 28 year-old socialite told Ellen DeGeneres last week all about her new micro-pig, Ms Piglet, cooing "she's so adorable".

The pigs are about the size of an orange at birth and are fully-grown two years later, when they weigh about 29kg and stand 35cm high. They can live for 18 years.
