AS a new season of Bones gathers momentum, there's one question on every fan's mind: will Booth and Brennan ever get together?
David Boreanaz, who stars as Booth, is dropping a lot of hints – but somehow managing to never give a straight answer.
"They're going to explore, you know, what brings them closer together, what pulls them apart, their inner conflicts. They're going to get deeper and vulnerable..."
Don't you just want to slap him?
He goes on: "Everyone's always asking, `should they? [Or] should they not hook up?' You know, it's a fine line... If I had to vote, I'd prefer that they just went around that [relationship] sometimes and just stuck with the eventual `maybe' or `who knows what happens?'."
Infuriating. Viewers are about to find out how Booth and Brennan met, which will explain why they're so nuts about one another. And Boreanaz is looking forward to giving us glimpses of Booth's dark side:
"Booth is definitely a happy, blue-collar, go-lucky guy [who] has a sense of humour about himself and doesn't take life too seriously - but he's got a dark past and he'll definitely explore that."
Bones is on Sundays at 8.30pm on TV3.
