WE really hope this is just a bizarre rumour, but US rag National Enquirer is claiming Whitney Houston may be close to death.
Houston, 45, cancelled her New Plymouth concert last week – a worrying sign, given the star's history of drug abuse.
That story made headlines worldwide. The magazine claimed the diva had collapsed after a cocaine and alcohol binge during her world tour, her first in 10 years. She started with a shaky performance in South Korea but by the time she hit Japan, she was on top form. She is due to perform in Melbourne next week.
Houston recently admitted to Oprah that she and ex-husband Bobby Brown were sometimes so stoned they would sit next to one another for days and barely speak.
