'Napalm' hits back

WE thought Jessica Simpson was too soft – and dumb – to even think about hitting back at John Mayer, who blabbed to Playboy that she was "sexual napalm" in bed.
But blondie proved us wrong this week, telling Oprah: "I was so, I was so disappointed in him.
"It made me so sad and it was really discouraging, because that's not the John that I knew. Absolutely, I felt betrayed. I just, you know, I hope he gets his life together."
Simpson hinted that Mayer didn't man up enough to apologise in person.
"I haven't written back ... I don't accept it. It's just kind of one of those things. I don't resent him, I'm just gonna let that go, that part of my life."
The pair dated on and off for about two years. Simpson's gone on to hook up with a football star and Smashing Pumpkins' lead singer Billy Corgan and is rumoured to be dating The Hurt Locker star Jeremy Renner. They met at Madonna's manager's house.
A source said: "Jeremy spent the night hitting on Jessica like crazy. They were flirting up a storm!"
