POP soul diva Whitney Houston has announced her first and only New Zealand concert at New Plymouth's TSB Bowl of Brooklands during Taranaki's anniversary weekend on March 6.
Houston, who has made a remarkable career comeback after ditching class A drugs and Grammy Award-winning, but troubled, ex-husband Bobby Brown, is promising to sing all her hits – including "How Will I Know", "Greatest Love of All", "I Wanna Dance With Somebody", and "Didn't We Almost Have It All", as well as material from her new album, I Look To You.
She has produced over 170 million combined albums, singles and videos during her career and famously featured in one of the top 10 biggest-selling albums, The Bodyguard soundtrack, with Dolly Parton's "Will Always Love You" in 1992.
Tickets go on sale from Monday, February 8. To book go to www.ticketmaster.co.nz or call 0800 111-999.
