RACHEL HUNTER must be keen on this one - she's bringing him home! The 38-year-old bombshell has been dating 26-year-old Canadian ice hockey star Jarret Stoll for two years and when she comes back to New Zealand in a few weeks with her kids Liam and Renee, he'll be coming with them.

The pair are rumoured to have bought a house together in LA and Rachel has even been talking about more babies.

According to friends, Jarret is a lovely guy and absolutely besotted with her, while she's been quoted in New Idea saying: "I think I would like more children. I wouldn't want to adopt though. I think I have two years left to have a child naturally if I want to."

And marriage? Is she into it?

"It's something I guess I am open to but it's not something I need in my life. If I had another child with somebody I wouldn't need marriage to let it happen."

As for her much criticised weight gain, sparked by pictures from the TV show Celebrity Circus, Rachel says: "If you look at the picture, I had a huge harness on for the circus trick I was performing and I'd taken it off and shoved it down my top. Anybody would look larger. I know I am not overweight."

Faumuina driven to distraction?

REPORTS ARE surfacing from Queensland that all is not well between netballer and DWTS winner Temepara George, 33, and her rugby league playing partner, 27-year-old Sione Faumuina.

The pair were in the news earlier this year when Faumuina was alleged have thrown a rubbish bin at Temepara's hire car, breaking the front windscreen, denting the bonnet and driver side door.

The repair bill was $1600 and Temepara said on an insurance claim form that the damage was caused by a "temper tantrum" and Baycorp became involved.

Faumuina was let go by the New Zealand Warriors in 2006 after "repeated cases of serious misconduct" and his latest embarrassment is being in a car accident last month in Australia. He spun out and rolled the car he was driving and was lucky he didn't kill himself. It's been reported that he has since been receiving counselling for personal issues.

Temepara, who is returning to New Zealand to live, having accepted a development officer's job with Netball Counties Manukau, has been difficult to get hold of, so whether reports about the couple splitting are true are yet to be confirmed. If true though, the likelihood is that Sione will head to France for the 2009 season.

All hail Hayley

RICHIE MCCAW'S girlfriend, who is quite possibly about to eclipse him in the fame stakes, had her farewell party last Friday night at Auckland bar Tabac.

I am talking about Miss Hayley Holt, of course, and it was a very unceleb do. Just friends and family. Not even Richie was there and, sadly, we weren't allowed to take pics.

Hayley flew out on Thursday to London where she will be a dancer on the British show Strictly Come Dancing. She has already started training. Stefano Olivieri and another dancer have been putting her through paces and the experience will be more grueling than our DWTS because the dancers aren't voted off. Hayley is expected to be away until the end of the year.

Key to the kingdom

JOHN KEY has a pair of jandals on the roof of his electoral office in Helensville. The reason for this sartorial curiosity is not known.

Equally curious is the story starring him and political editors Guyon Espiner (TV One) and Duncan Garner (TV3). Apparently the trio were recently out on the town in Wellington and having a very merry time.

During the course of the evening it's claimed that JK confided he thought Bill English might try to roll him in the first term (this assumes National gets in) and that - this is the interesting bit - he didn't mind at all if Bill did that because Key just wants to experience being PM.

$15m upgrade

THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S magnificent (jandal-free) residence Government House is getting a $15 million upgrade. And in order to keep him warm and dry during renovations, the Hon Anand Satyanand will be staying in Vogel House.

This means its occupant, Jim Anderton, has to kip elsewhere, which has wits quipping that removing any politician will upgrade Vogel House as well, by ridding it of its rodent problem!

Heads up for return

WITH VOCALIST Fiona McDonald doing all those food ads, it kind of make sense that the festival The Headless Chickens are reuniting for in Australia on December 6 is called Homebake 2008.

One of New Zealand's greatest ever bands, they've been asked many times over the years to get back together but this festival, which Crowded House are playing too, just felt right and might even herald a new album.

The band were huge in the late 80s and early 90s and bigger in Oz than they were here, with their Body Blow album selling 75,000 copies across the Tasman.

Since they split in 1996, Fiona has become the food ad queen, been a judge on NZ Idol, presented reality show 10 Years Younger and had two children. Bassist Grant Fell set up Black magazine and the band's kingpin Chris Matthews has his own band in Dunedin, Robot Monkey Orchestra.

With the likes of Primal Scream reforming and releasing a new and great album (and they're even older than the Chickens) the odds are good that the same might happen for Fiona and co.

Shame she's so tied in with Tegel though, because there's nothing "factory" about the rest of the band.

Eric back in the frame

JUDGING BY the flurry of texts, Nicky Watson must be back in the country after a sojourn in the UK where she caught up with ex husband, Eric Watson, from whom she separated in 2002. The pair have not divorced though and Nicky, 32, still uses his name. Recent talk is she wants to reconcile in spite of the fact he has had a second child with another woman. Eric already had son Sam when he and Nicky got together and after they split he had a second son, Lucas, with Swedish model Lisa Henreksen. Eric's list of exes is quite something too. Although he has been going through a difficult time, with one of his companies, Hanover, Eric is still estimated to be worth $450m and is without doubt the best-looking guy on the Rich List.

Boy racer at heart

THE PEOPLE of Auckland weren't too keen on the prospect of the official mayoral car being a black Ferrari so John Banks satisfied his inner boy racer by getting on the new V8 Racing Simulator on Wednesday morning.

It's the executive sport, the greenest way to burn rubber and timely given the hot water he's gotten himself into by saying that he cares more about penguins than people.

The comment was made in light of global warming and the mass extinctions it is set to cause. Unusual for a right-winger, John is all about sticking up for the underdog, and right now, on Planet Earth, that's the animal kingdom.

Watch your step

BRENDAN COLE is due to start Strictly Come Dancing and he's a little anxious about who his partner will be. When he was single it didn't matter but now he's in a relationship with Zoe Hobbs, it does. A lot. After all, in the first series he was engaged to fellow dancer Camilla Dallerup. Their relationship did not survive his pairing with Natasha Kaplinskey.

Brendan has since commented men "can't help peeking". This is is unlikely to reassure Zoe much and to add to the pressure is the word that Brendan's partner could be wait for it Jordan!

Now we know that Brendan liked Nicky [Watson] and if he liked Nicky, he's likely to love Jordan.
