Our Bright Star Crowded House home soon Houston heading for Kiwi concert Back to the Edge Kitchen confidential The roots of the movie magic Comic relief Falling for it Unsung hero Tom Jones: Kiss and tell

RICHARD KAHUI: Sorry Dan, the latest All Black babe is the most gorgeous AB ever. And he's talented. And articulate. And humble. He has amazing blue eyes and he does loyal but unsung charity work for Waikato's Rainbow Place, a children's hospice service. In fact, no one has a bad word to say about him.

Factette: The home of his first serious girlfriend had a visitors' book and he would always write "Richard Kahui, future All Black" he was 15!

ROBYN MALCOLM: The Outrageous Fortune star is our best loved actress. The mother-of-two has won more best actress awards than we can count and has been named sexiest actress too. She's a passionate and sincere Green activist and is as smart as a tack.

Factette: She won't fancy you if you have a big car: "The only reason you have a big engine is because you have a small ----!"

WALLACE CHAPMAN: Low-key, clever and caring, the former bFM breakfast host/Eating Media Lunch correspondent, hosts his own political chat show, Backbenchers, on TVNZ 7. He's very stylish (he loves Dunedin fashion) but under the duds he has a secret an amazing body.

Factette: He's a white Fijian. Seriously. His real name is Wallesi and his dad is huge!

CACTUS KATE: Loud, hugely offensive and blessed with a savage intelligence, anonymous blogger Cactus Kate also has the most amazing blue eyes (which have captured the hearts of at least one National Party MP and one member of the Business Roundtable). An Act party stalwart, she's also a fearsome tax lawyer in Hong Kong but she returns home regularly to keep an eye on dodgy left-wingers.

Factette: She only drinks champagne so if you can't afford it, don't call.

BRUCE RYRIE: Tall, dark, good looking and with a posh English accent, the former public schoolboy and former banker (Coutts, the royal bank) is now also the former husband of feisty entrepreneur Josephine Grierson. More media shy than his titian ex, Bruce's share of their millions makes him a hot catch and he has extensive estates in Kenya as well.

Factette: Maybe wait till the divorce is over before you call.

MYKEN STEWART: The NZ Fashion Week director hails from Christchurch, chills in the Marlborough Sounds, lives on Waiheke and works like a demon in Auckland.

Factette: Her chubby labrador, Kura, has the best manners of anyone on this list.

ANNABEL FAY: Very pretty and very talented (she was a nominee for best female artist at this year's New Zealand Music Awards), she has great legs and great taste in shoes and her dad is worth $700m.

Factette: If she invites you to the bach don't offer to pay for the gas because you will be getting there (Mercury Island) by helicopter.

NIKKI KAYE:

Cute and blonde, National's MP for Auckland City is only 28 but super-smart and has been a high achiever since she was head prefect at Auckland's Corran School. I ran into her on a long-haul flight from Europe last year; I was getting off the plane to crash with jet lag while Miss Fabulous was planning to go for a run and attend two events. She completed the Coast to Coast last year too.

Factette: Her nickname at university was "Kikki Naye" (but don't try it yourself!)

TONI MARSH: TV3's weather girl is arguably the hottest item on the box. TV Guide readers voted her New Zealand's best weather presenter and sexiest woman on TV in 2005 and 2006 and men's mag M2 chimed in with woman of the year award in 2006.

Factette: She's so youthful she was asked for ID in the supermarket last year.

KATHRYN WILSON: Cobbler extraordinaire, she's beautiful and blonde and makes the best shoes in the country. An irrepressible optimist and probably the most popular person on this list, she always knew shoes were her metier. The Auckland designer is into her sixth season and is going from strength to strength.

Factette: She has a cat called Mr Bigglesworth who she takes to work with her every day. When she's in Japan she buys him little outfits and he has countless pairs of little shoes!

SEEBY WOODHOUSE: Young, smart, loaded and green! What more could a girl want? Ethics? He has those too. This Auckland businessman might party at the Playboy mansion but after selling his internet company for $19m, the 33-year-old founded Green Carbon, which sells carbon credits. "I don't want to have 20 houses on the side all losing money and putting a strain on civilisation."

Factette: He has never read a romance novel because, he says, "I would rather do that in my own life".

MARC MOORE: Good looking enough to model, Marc designs instead. His label, Stolen Girlfriend's Club, won the Fashion Week Export Award last year, so add "successful" to "cool" and "gorgeous". It hasn't gone to his head either. Marc's the king of self-deprecation and is always laughing at himself even though actresses Juliette Lewis and Kate Bosworth and UK "it girl" Daisy Lowe wear his clothes. He's also a former pro surfer.

Factette: The late Marc Hunter, the front man for 70s supergroup Dragon, was his dad.

NOELLE MCCARTHY: The lyrical voice, the milky skin, the charm, the intelligence, style and wit. Not much more to say really.

Factette: She likes to stay out very late, usually in gay bars.

JACK DRIVER: Actor, director, talkback host, and current affairs dynamo he may be, but Oliver Driver's dog Jack has bigger, dreamier eyes than his owner and he's also beaten Ollie by nearly two decades in the race to see who would host their own TV show. Jack, 10, boasts Sunrise as his first gig but Ollie was an aged 29 before he managed to land the hosting role on arts show Front Seat.

Factette: Date one, you date them both they're inseparable. So bring some Meatie Bites.

DIANE FOREMAN: She has a big presence in the business pages (the family worth is estimated at $145m) but in life she's a tiny little thing and you can see why men melt, just ask Paul Henry. She is separated from husband, Bill (they are still best friends) and Don Brash thinks the absolute world of her.

Factette: She makes nice icecream and if you give yourself a sore tummy eating too much of it, she has a hospital (Ascot) to make you all better.

JOSH KRONFELD: Former All Black, TV star (he's appearing on Dancing With the Stars this year), trained physio, charity worker, anti wind farm campaigner and muscle-bound hunk (don't worry about that little celebrity drug bust thing), Josh is one big manly catch. He has a passion for music and the arts. Be warned! "I can be quite naughty," he says.

Factette: Whatever he is doing, he would rather be surfing.

STEVE DUNSTAN: He's the driving force behind hyper cool street label Huffer, has been a snow boarding champion and is an all-round good guy who's always the first to buy a round.

Factette: He drives a Porsche but if you're interested in that he won't be interested in you.

MARCUS LUSH: Clever, irreverent, funny and subversive, the teetotal Mr Lush is our most southern dwelling celebrity (I Bluff you not). He's also one of our most sensitive and creative broadcasters.

Factette: Fanciable as he is, he's not averse to being by himself: "I don't think that the world is binary," says Marcus.

TEMEPARA GEORGE: Seriously good looking and a mother of two, the former vice-captain of the Silver Ferns last year took out Dancing With the Stars. Now she's split from league toughie Sione Faumuina, it's safe to dream about her again.

Factette: Her kids try to tell her what to wear because they fret she's not cool enough (as if!).

SHELTON WOOLRIGHT: Better looking than his gorgeous/notorious ex, Nicky Watson, the former Blindspott drummer could have gone down the modelling route but a mega dose of talent has taken him to international success and a credit producing for Lily Allen. He's one to watch this year.

Factette: Charlotte Dawson is one of his best friends.
