Sarah Jarvis can expect a pleasant gift on Christmas Day.
The Hamilton skier should be notified of her highest world ranking after two excellent performances in Canada.
Jarvis recorded a second placing and an eighth in two International Federation of Ski (FIS) Giant Slalom races in Panorama recently.
They followed seventh and 10th place finishes in last week's slalom races at the Nor-Am Cup, also in Panorama.
The string of top performances should greatly improve her world rankings when the next FIS list comes out on Christmas Day.
"It's fantastic, her points results are better than they've ever been before," said James Lazor, New Zealand Ski Racing's general manager. "She is showing incredible improvement."
Jarvis is hoping to qualify for February's Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, and her improved world ranking should greatly increase her chances.
National ski team members Ben Griffin and Tim Cafe, along with Angus Howden, have also been racing in challenging conditions in Austria and Italy as they continue their northern hemisphere campaigns.
A knee injury has put Howden out of action for a month after he fell during a race at Pampeago in Italy.
