Short Story Awards 2016

Entries are now closed for the Sunday Star-Times Short Story Awards 2016. Winners will be announced on Sunday, 20th November 2016. Good luck!

The divisions were:

Open division: 3000 word limit, judged by Stephanie Johnson, author and winner of the Montana New Zealand Book Awards.

Secondary school division: 2000 word limit. Judged by Paula Morris, author and University of Auckland creative writing convenor.

Non-fiction essay: up to 2000 words on the theme "I read the news today, oh boy". Judged by Jonathan Milne, Sunday Star-Times editor.
