Emergency services were called out early this afternoon when a helicopter was suspected to be caught in power lines above Standish Rd and East Rd in Stratford.
An onlooker called emergency services about 12.45pm after noticing the chopper, which had a rope hanging beneath it, had remained stationary above the lines for a long period of time.
Chief fire officer Noel Webby said the helicopter had got the rope tangled, but had freed itself by the time firefighters got there.
Police were also called out, but were stood down soon after when the helicopter moved on.
