New Plymouth Boys' High School is the top dog in Taranaki secondary school rugby after beating arch-rival Francis Douglas Memorial College 13-6 today.

The visiting Boys' High first XV led 10-3 at the break, with flanker Josh Dowsing scoring the game's only try just before halftime. Winger Josh Parker kicked two penalties and a conversion.

For Francis Douglas, first-five Eli Kneepkens kicked two penalties.
