Nappies feel the heat in Pak n Save blaze.

Shoppers at New Plymouth's Pak 'n Save were forced to evacuate when nappies caught fire this afternoon.

New Plymouth fire investigators are still at the supermarket assessing what caused the fire.

Staff and shoppers were evacuated within minutes of the fire being spotted by an Inglewood customer.

New Plymouth fire chief Pat Fitzell said there was quite a bit of damage to the stock and smoke damage in the building.
