A record field of nearly 1900 runners, joggers and walkers will set off from New Plymouth at various times today and early tomorrow morning in the annual Taranaki Steelformers Round the Mountain relay.
First away, at 2pm, will be walkers, who leave from Kent Rd, while relay teams will leave from the TSB Stadium.
The annual event raises funds for the Taranaki Kids Sports trust.
Contestants will be eligible for up to $50,000 of spot prizes.
