LATEST: An employee of McKechnie Aluminium who was taken to Taranaki Base Hospital in a serious condition after a workplace accident this morning has died.
The man was in a critical condition at the hospital's intensive care unit but died this afternoon.
The Taranaki Daily News understands the man, in his 30s, was injured about 5am at the Paraite Rd, Bell Block, business.
The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment is investigating.
