A drunk 17-year-old has been charged with unlawful interference with a motor vehicle for opening a car door last night.
Police said the man was highly intoxicated when he opened the rear passenger door of a car on Glenpark Ave in New Plymouth around 7:20pm.
The owner of the car confronted the man and removed him from the property.
He will appear in the New Plymouth District Court on January 16.
