A wanted fugitive gave police the slip last weekend and earned himself further charges.
Police chased Aaron Alexander King, 30, in Hawera for a short time on Saturday before he ditched his car and fled about 4.30pm.
King has a warrant for his arrest on a charge of wounding with intent to injure after a domestic incident on New Year's Day. He has now also been charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop.
King is from Hawera and is 184cm tall and of medium build.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Hawera CIB.
