The owners of a major Taranaki new car dealership have spread their business wings, buying a Palmerston North dealership as well.
Andy and Paula Moir have owned Taranaki Honda for the past five years, and have just bought the Honda dealership in Palmerston North.
The purchase sees the dealership's name change from Honda Cars Palmerston North to Manawatu Honda.
Honda New Zealand managing director, Graeme Seymour, said the purchase was a positive change to the car manufacturer's representation in Palmerston North.
It also fulfilled a company goal to have local ownership in provincial areas, close to the local community, he said.
Andy Moir said he and his family intend to move to Palmerston North, from where they will run both dealerships
