Fresh breezes and warm evenings outdoors is a welcome time of the year where family comes to stay and days are spent at the beach.
Here are some ideas to get your home ready for summer and bring the beach feel into your interior.

Draw inspiration from your surrounds and create the mood you enjoy. Why not paint your entrance space a cool blue, matched with a rustic coat rack filled with summery hats and scarves.

Purchase a sisal floor mat or rug to catch the sandy feet. Add a large shoe box by the door.

A weaved sculptural light fitting to dangle above your dinning table can give you that beachy feeling. Mix rich timbers with white wash furniture, glossy blue ceramics and blooming yellow flowers. Look out for interesting chairs for extra seating.

Chairs you can shift inside and out. For that beach bach feel, buy hemp sacks and sew into oversized cushions. These can be thrown on the deck to seat extra guests or to read a book in the sun.

Freshen up the lounge with colourful pacific style cushions. They are easy to find and achieve an effortless summer look. Add an indoor plant to bring a sculptural element to your home.

Spruce up the guest bedroom by applying a feature wallpaper at the head of the bed. Organize the side tables with summertime reads and oversized lamps. New white linen, paired with a colourful floral throw adds luxury. A cane chair nestled by the window or sliders finishes the space off for visitors. Enjoy creating a beautiful life.
