Stand-up comedian Alan Davies, who stars in Jonathan Creek and QI is touring New Zealand with his new show called Life is Pain.

He will perform one show only in New Plymouth at the TSB Showplace on February 7.

It is 15 years since Davies was last in New Zealand. He completed a hugely successful, five-week tour of Australia in 2011 and had a triumphant season at the prestigious 2012 Edinburgh Festival.

Life is Pain is characterised by drawing the audience in with skilfully crafted characters, gleefully told stories, a meandering style and chatty and entertaining audience banter.

If you buy your tickets by January 31, you will go into a draw to win a signed copy of Davies' book and poster. Tickets are through Ticketmaster.
