Queensland's historic Big Pineapple could be sold to an overseas buyer after the close of tenders this week.
Overseas interests were among the companies to express interest in the more than 170 hectares of land for sale surrounding the Sunshine Coast tourism icon.
Mark Creevey, from Ray White Special Projects, said tourism operators, land developers and property investors had shown interest at the close of tenders on Tuesday evening.
"We have received interest from a range of different buyers based locally, interstate and overseas," Mr Creevey said.
He said all offers were now being considered by receivers PPB, which put the property on the market.
The theme park - which features a 16-metre fibreglass pineapple - has been a fixture of Queensland tourism since 1971.
