It is the finer details in a home that create a sense of unity and make a home feel complete.
When building, it's not just about the layout and size of your rooms, or the cladding and carpet colour you choose. It's the thoughtfulness and purpose in each selected material, product and item that creates the wow factor.
When creating your space the "little things" ensure your home is able to reach its full potential. Let's focus on the entrance to your home. Decide what type of front door suits your family. Do you prefer generous double doors or a sophisticated high gloss door with glass panelling on either side? It could be a vintage find imported from your travels, giving guests an instant insight into your personality and style. Select complementary elements which enhance your home's design style with items such as pot plants, tiles, decking or a stoned pathway.
Think about what type of joinery works for you in terms of aesthetics and, of course, function. Are you going for a rich timber look, or a modern charcoal aluminum? Or are you having your interior colour in contrast to your exterior?
When looking at window privacy, you will need to decide whether to select a glass tint or leave clear. Ask yourself whether you can screen through landscaping? If you have more of a traditional style home or villa, why not use shutters as they are not only practical but beautifully charming as well.
Take time to look at all the components that make up your home and treat each element with thoughtfulness and detail. Enjoy the process of formulating a design savvy home and creating a beautiful life.
