Wunderkid Ayla Hutchinson just can't stop doing good.

The Tariki teenager, who came up with the Kindling Cracker - an invention that makes splitting kindling easy and safe - has donated half her Fieldays prizemoney to the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust.

Ayla won the Vodafone People's Choice Award at the Fieldays earlier this month and will give $125 of the prize to the trust.

The 15-year-old, who just celebrated her birthday, said it was a good cause.

"I recommend everyone to give a little because a little from everyone is a lot," she wrote on the Kindling Cracker Facebook page.
