A former travel consultant stole $15,821 from his employer to fund his gambling habit.
From February 2013 to March this year Preston John Cunningham, now of New Plymouth, worked as a consultant at the Flight Centre Chartwell in Hamilton, the New Plymouth District Court heard last Friday.
On 41 occasions Cunningham used his personal ANZ credit card to process refunds to himself.
Judge Tony Couch sentenced Cunningham to six months' community detention, 100 hours' community work and nine months' supervision.
