Top placings for NP dancers

Three New Plymouth Dancers have received top placings at the New Zealand Dance Awards held in Wellington on Saturday.
Katie Rudd won the contemporary dance section, Sophie Gargan took third place in ballet and Katie Alexanderwas fifth in the modern jazz.
The dancers all train at the Gilbert-Smith Dance Studio and received monetary scholarships to further their tuition.
The awards are held for New Zealand Association of Modern Dance dancers who display the highest quality performances in their examinations during the year and are selected from hundreds of dancers from around the country.
