Lisa Tamati leaves home ground
Lisa Tamati enjoyed a cold beer at the Awakino Hotel yesterday evening as she bade farewell to Taranaki on her 2200km New Zealand run.
After comfortably dealing with Mt Messenger in good conditions yesterday afternoon, she plans to travel 44.1km up State Highway 3 to finish in Paemako today, on the road to Piopio.
The Taranaki Daily News has received inquiries where to send donations for Tamati's causes, CanTeen and Cure Kids.
