The fifth Parihaka International Peace Festival was in full swing yesterday and so was Irene Goed.
The Artfool Family Circus, from Raglan, and stalls offering everything from hair braiding to clothing kept campers entertained before musical acts took to the stage last night.
Festival director Te Miringa Hohaia said the 2010 event was shaping up to be the biggest yet.
"We had a larger Thursday night crowd than any other year and we're expecting a flood of people tonight after work," he said yesterday.
"Tonight is going to rock with Fat Freddy's Drop and LA Mitchell."
For those making themselves at home under canvas this weekend, the MetService was forecasting a mixed bag.
Clear skies are expected all day today with some rain developing tomorrow evening and a few showers lingering as the tents come down on Monday.
