WITT keen to take Budget's extra full-time students

WITT could benefit from the Budget funding for extra full-time students.
Polytechs will get 455 extra full-time places this year.
WITT chief executive Richard Handley said the Taranaki polytech had to turn away more than 300 students last year.
"We hope that part of this increase would be allocated to us should this demand continue," Mr Handley said.
It was a very good sign.
"I think it's an important signal from the Government that in these tough times they are prepared to increase the investment in the training of New Zealanders."
