Police yesterday made four arrests in South Taranaki after a three-month investigation into cannabis dealing.
Bags of dried cannabis, plants and large sums of cash were recovered in the raids in Hawera and Patea.
Two women from Hawera, aged 43 and 45, along with a 21-year-old Hawera man and a 49-year-old male from Patea will appear in the Hawera District Court on June 22.
Senior Sergeant Blair Burnett said police hoped the operation would send a clear message to anyone thinking they could get away with selling drugs.
`I don't tolerate drug dealing in my area and a lot of work has gone into the last three months to identify where drugs are being distributed and who is behind that distribution," Mr Burnett said.
"This isn't the first operation and it won't be the last if people don't heed this warning."
Anyone with information about drug distribution can contact their local police.
