A fund has been set up to help Taranaki's Torckler family after their son, professional cyclist Michael, was badly injured in a hit and run road accident in California recently.

The fund was set up with the permission of the Torcklers and the total raised so far is $5472.

People can contribute by emailing alwyn.poole@gmail.com. The email address is protected from spam bots and a JavaScript is needed to view it.

There is a also Pay Pal account that people can use - karen.poole@ mthobson.school.nz.

Every dollar donated will go to the Torckler family, fund organisers said.
