Two Taranaki trainee nurses have been recognised for their caring and patient approach to nursing this week with a Tillie Hickey Memorial Nursing Scholarship.
New Plymouth women Lauren Hood, 23, and Judith Lister, 48, who are both studying for a Bachelor of Nursing at Witt, each received $750.
School of nursing head, Diana Fergusson, said the scholarships were given to the two nurses that most demonstrated the same qualities as Sister Hickey.
