A truck driver has been taken to hospital after a crash on State Highway 3, near Midhirst, this morning.
Stratford Police sergeant Michelle Collis said the driver of a southbound ute carrying a load of pipes lost control, fishtailed and collided with a truck heading north about 9.20am.
The truck driver was transported to Taranaki Base Hospital by St John ambulance with cuts to his hands, feet and legs. The driver of the ute was not injured in the crash.
State Highway 3 has been reopened after being blocked while the crash scene was cleared.
