A man who allegedly threatened to kill a couple pushing a child in a stroller down a Glen Avon street while he chased them with a baseball bat was arrested last night.

The man was charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and threatening to kill while his female partner was charged with assault and threatening to kill after allegedly getting into a fight with the couple the man later chased.

Sergeant Royston Betteridge said the man was arrested without incident about 6pm and the woman shortly after.
