A New Plymouth man accused of murder following a hit and run will remain in custody.

Matthew Kinghorn's appearance in court was excused this week and he was remanded in custody until November 21.

Kinghorn is charged with the murder of Anne Elizabeth McCullough after allegedly hitting her with his car on October 20.
