A sexual romp in the public toilets at Hawera races has ended up costing a man more than $800.
Giles Buist Cullen, 26, a mechanic, was arrested after being caught having sex in a toilet at the Egmont Racing Club's Whips and Spurs dance party at a race meeting last month.
At the New Plymouth District Court yesterday Cullen pleaded guilty to offensive behaviour, assaulting police and wilful damage, said prosecutor sergeant Kerry Yates.
Judge Ellis ordered Cullen to pay $800 in fines plus court costs.
