Taranaki enjoyed its sunniest November on record this year.
Sunshine hours hit 673 for the month, the highest since observations started in 1972, according to a recent NIWA report.
The results are backed up by the Taranaki Regional Council's monthly rainfall statistics which showed monitoring sites recording well below normal November amounts.
Rain fell on between seven and 16 days of the month, with most sites getting eight to nine days of rain.
The council report shows the wettest areas off the mountain for November were Inglewood with 120mm and Kaka Rd with 114mm.
The province's driest areas were Patea with 31mm and Glenn Rd with 43mm.
Hawera recorded its fourth lowest daily minimum air temperature since 1972 on September 13, at -1.3 degrees celsius.
