A 29-year-old Stratford man has been taken to hospital after a crash on Opunake Rd.
Emergency service were called to the scene about 11.15am.
The man was driving east towards Stratford when he failed to take a bend and ended up in a gully.
"He's crashed his work ute in a drain in atrocious conditions," Stratford police sergeant Michelle Collis said.
The man was taken to Taranaki Base Hospital with moderate head injuries by St John ambulance.
