Mild weather and entertaining acts attracted a crowd in excess of 10,000 of the TSB Bowl of Brooklands with thousands of people lighting candles and singing carols just nine days out from Christmas.

A spectacular fireworks display brought an explosive end to the evening.

Opinion poll

Will Aaron Cruden's omission hurt or help the All Blacks?

Hurt - he needs as much game time as possible.

Help - finally Beauden Barrett will get a proper run.

Hmmm - no biggie, just a temporary hitch.

Who is Cruden? I support the All Whites.
