Police have released more information from security camera footage of two bandits who held up a New Plymouth bar on Christmas morning.
The two offenders were armed with a shotgun and were wearing motorbike helmets, gloves and dark clothes when they entered the Treehouse Restaurant and Bar, while staff were cleaning up about 1.15am.
The pair demanded cash before wishing the staff a Merry Christmas and fleeing along Devon St West towards the Blagdon shops on a motorcycle.
Detective Pat Yates said police wanted to hear from anyone with information about the holdup.
"We want to hear from anyone who knows anything about the robbery or saw anything suspicious, particularly those who may have been in the area at the time."
Nobody was injured but staff were traumatised by the ordeal.
Police said the robbery appeared to have been planned.
