Jay Cadman-Kennedy, of Inglewood, continued his good form in the Splash and Dash multisport series, winning the latest race at New Plymouth's Ngamotu Beach.
Cadman-Kennedy won the senior long-distance event, in which the competitors had to complete a 1000m swim and 4km run.
The teenager finished ahead of Shannon Stallard, with Ryan Dingle third.
The senior long-distance race for women was won by Emma Daniels, with Hannah Sturmer second and Idelle Hiestand third.
The short-distance race, which comprised a 500m swim and 2km run, was won by Mitch Owen in the male division. He finished ahead of second-placed Talor Owen, with Geoff Hawksworth third.
The female short-course event was won by Amy Barron, with Jenna Barrett second and Jess Leary third.
The next race in the series is to be held on February 14.
