Another earthquake struck off the coast of Opunake early this morning.
The magnitude 3.5 quake hit at 12.24am and was centred 5km deep and 30 km north-west of Opunake.
People reported feeling the quake around the Taranaki coast, in Lower Hutt and in Gisborne, a GeoNet felt report shows.
Taranaki has been hit by more than 20 quakes since a magnitude 5 earthquake hit in the same spot just after 3am on January 1.
