Gary David Snelling, 58, was jailed for eight months after admitting his sixth conviction for driving while disqualified.
In the New Plymouth District Court yesterday, Judge Allan Roberts noted Snelling had 12 convictions for breaching either community work or community detention.
If Snelling continued to offend, the only discussion would be the length of sentence, the judge said.
Snelling was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
